U.S. Auto Industry deserves the grave they dug for themselves
by drew sagan ini don't know how the folks here feel about u.s. automakers (aka the 'big three').
nevertheless, right now there is a 'bailout' on the table for these folks who seem to have run what were potentially viable companies right into the toilet.

This is merely a symptom of the disease(s) infecting western society.
Focusing on only ONE of the main causes of this situation would benefit not only the big 3, but all other US corporations and Wall Street as well.
For the last few decades, ALL executive focus has been on short term (this year) profitability.
Long term profitability and viabilty MUST be factored in to executive compensation packages.
Absent this, ALL large corporations in the USA will fail, and with them, the US economy, the jobs, the quality of life, etc, etc, etc.

Sorry BA...I have cahones....they are real...i left all i ever knew...i am a total fader and have paid high prices....but i have some REAL friends in there....who do not shun me.....they are ACTIVE...yet their belief is not "an illusion"....they love me enough to accept me as i am despite any consequences....and i hope that what i am doing now may help them someday.....and those that do shun me i feel sorry for...because they are doing the only thing they know to do ....THEY FEEL THEY DONT HAVE A CHOICE and you should know that....you may find out someday...that those with the real truth can just as easily stab you in the back....but i hope not....good luck..........oompa
When you say "you left", is that so? I haven't seen the evidence. We all pay a high price upon leaving, welcome to "the club". Your illusionary "real" friends, in time, will show their true colors. Those who don't feel they have a choice are destined for the worst of consequences- that is for certain. Just about anyone can stab you in the back, true. Completely leaving the JWs will allow you to better ascertain who is likely to stab you in the back, and who is not.

I was locked out of my dad's house AGAIN tonight!

by the time i got out of my car, she had turned the lights off in the kitchen and went into my dad's bedroom.
i rang and rang the doorbell but she (rose ann andris powell) would not come unlock the door.

let me get this straight....if we grow cahones...we FOR SURE will feel better? even if we let go of good friends/good people we have known for 30 or 40 years or more?......and the longer we wait the more friends like that we will find them? BA....you cant replace lifelong friends...you CANT!!!...when you are ten years old and shooting cattails out of bows like arrows at your buds/bros........and wearing goggles shootin bb's at them...and ridin dirt bikes...and later doin fire drill in cars at stop lights....and swappin spit with every you sis you can.....you can have an impossible time replacing moments like that dammit....and ya...now i have a very wet face...........................................................................................................oompa
No, if you use them you will feel better- eventually, not instantly. "Good friends/good people" are NOT "good" no matter how long you have associated with them, if they will shun you because you no longer believe as they do. Their "belief" is nothing more than an illusion, the same goes for their "friendship".
There is something much, much, much more important than fake friends and hypocritical actions. It is called the REAL truth.
When you let your cahones grow, and USE them, you will come to appreciate the difference.
Never will you do so until you have done so.

Why does it bother me so much?
by Anti-Christ inmost things that people believe that are out there and don't have much evidence to support their believe, like the reptilian conspiracy, does not bother me has much as people believing that the bible is literal word of god.
i can understand that someone would believe it because of the lack of knowledge like me before, once i learned more about out it i realized that it was not the word of god, i was duped.
if someone after learning all this information and still believes it's the literal word of god it drives me nuts, i just don't know why it bothers me so much.

To answer your question myself, I would say that:
- all "knowledge" is simply a compendium of others opinions that we are convinced of, or would like to believe.
- faith is above "knowledge" when it comes down to it. All common "knowledge" is highly suspect. True faith is the only path to true knowledge.
- it is good that it bothers you, it shows you are still open-minded enough to have this bother you.
